S'cuse the sheeity title, couldnt think of anything witty.

Any spacey fans out there, thought this is a good site to share, have a nose though every few days. Some truely amazing images (most are real, the odd PC generated image).

Also, NASA celebrates 50 years this year.

I like watching the meteor storms.

We had one a month or so back. Saw quite a few space debies breaking up.

Thing is, night telescope, is it any good or are things just like a small star? REason i ask is when i was in the US, some guy had a huge one setup (about 5m long) on a massive stand. He was letting people come and have a look at Venus as it was close by.

Anyhoo, stepped up all looking foward to seeing a nice clear image, and it was this little bright dot in the viewing area.

I was all deflated and a little gutted

See this is my concern at buying a £200 telescope. Especially being down south where the sky is orange at night from the glare of city lights. We get to see stars, but no-where near as many as what you can when say your at another country/in the countryside.

Dave17 has the right idea. Screenshots ftw.

its still kind of impressive when you see it the first time. it just looks like any other star before you look through the telescope. i was never expecting to see a lot tbh!
