Does anyone do/have any information on being a freelance courier? Been thinking about doing it to make some money over the winter but want to know if its worth it?

You have to use your own car with someone like home delivery network. I concidered it over the summer, but it seemed more effort than it was worth.

Yeah was intending to use my own car. Planning to take the Golf off road at end of november for a while. So will buy comething cheap and economical with tax and MOT. and was thinking i might aswell get the most out of the runabout and try and make some money.

cant afford to atm, my paypal account is restricted and i cant afford to fork out up front while the money sits in my account.

Fro, I work for a courier company & it's very hard to make any margin these days - so I would say working on your own would be harder unless you can offer dirt cheap rates.

e.g We have a carrier in our area offering local drops anywhere locally in West Midlands for £2.50 a drop

I just mean doing work for the companies and them paying you for it sort of thing. But if its not going to earn even a lil wedge then seems alot of hassle and ill have to think of something else

Someone near me does this for DHL. Uses his own Toyota Yaris - no idea how much he gets paid though
