Just received delivery of some EBC drilled/grooved discs and green stuff pads for the front of my astra

Fitting standard discs/pads to the rear

Just wondering whats best to run them in? Had some people tell me you should avoid hard braking for the first 100 miles or so or it puts a shiny glaze on them which fucks them up.... anyone confirm this?

I'm planning on fitting them and then doing a 60 mile trip to leeds tomorrow which obviously means I won't be doing as much braking on the motorway as I would a 100 miles around town, so does this still count?

any advice welcome

use them as normal, avoid instant heavy braking but get them up to temp quickly.

greenstuffs have a break in coating anyway which helps.

avoid sitting at junctions with your footbrake held on, use the handbrake
