I have sprayed some before and lacquered them but they feel ruff and look dull. I have seen people on here with really nice shiney finishes. Can any 1 please give me some pointers.

Cheers

Make sure you put a thick enough layer on. I kept doing it too thinly on my mirrors so in places it's smooth but on most of it they're rough.

See how shiney the rest of my car is compared to them

when i done mine I keyed the surface with some 300 grit sand paper to get most of the dimple effect off the plastic, Then went over it with 600grit wet and dry followed by 800. Then gave it 2 light coats of filler primer followed by a slightly thicker one. Left that to dry for 24 hours and went over it with some 1200 grit wet and dry to get the surface super smooth Gave it a wipe over with some white spirit to clean it up and let it dry. Then when painting i gave it two light coats leaving about 10 mins between each coat followed by a thicker one. Let that dry for a hour or so then gave it a light coat one thick coat of laquer to get it super shiny. Just make sure you dont go too wild with the laquer because its very easy to get runs because you cant really see it too well

Final product :

If you want to get an even better finish you could go over it with some rubbing compound aswell followed by a good polish
