Some of you will know I left my job earlier this month as a car salesman.. I'm hating being without a job just now, trying to keep busy but theres only so much to do without spending money..

Waiting on word back from Stagecoach to find out if I've got a job with them, just wondering if anyone is a driver for a living, how you find it etc..

Pay isnt great to start but after a year its very good for what your doing..

Yeah, the pay seems good for essentially sitting on your arse all day. I'm not sure I could deal with the responsibility of passengers and trouble that you get in bigger cities etc with drunk people.

I could just about be a taxi driver I think.

Lifeguard job however now that is a cushty one for the pay and what you do.

Its not all that busy where I stay to be honest.. Not like a major city would be. More OAP's than drunks in a day I'd think..

It wont be a career for life but its a guaranteed income and I can concentrate on other stuff..

i used to work for arriva as a bus driver - isn't too bad

first are a decent company to work for...

... However, Stagecoach / East London has gone down BIGTIME.

Try and apply with First, as with Arriva, they'll put you on a 4-year contract on 9.99 p/hr (which is shite) - First are paying more, galthough, i'm not sure if they've got a similar 4-year contract thing going on

I once applied to Arnold Clark Volkswagen, but they are bastards "I don't care if we sell cars, bikes or feckin biscuits, as long as I get my sales I couldn't care less"

Its worse than any stoy you will hear... It was getting me really depressed and started to treat my gf like shit when I got home etc.. No jobs worth ruining your life, happier than I've ever been at the moment even though I'm without a job for the time being..
