Hi Guys,

Looking at getting a new Corsa D for my Mum and brother.

What engines are avaiable in the Corsa D with the automatic gearbox?

Also is the design spec the same as the Astra range, ie half leather, auto lights and piano black dash etc? If not then what is the best spec to go for with toys and comfort, sporty is not neccesary.

Thanks for your advice

I'm not sure about engines, but we get a few through work and they are usually 1.4 16v's.

Yeah Design is the same as in the Astra so you get all them extra's.

If it's like the C you'll be able to get them on the 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and maybe some of the derv's, either in full auto, or easytronic .

Defo want a D, as want it either brand new or up to a year old.

Would prefer a derv auto, but cant seem to find any, so could just be the 1.4's.

Joe what are the 1.4's like in your opinion?

Good news about the design spec though

Well ive driven the 1.4 8v corsa b, know its a bit different.........

But personally is a nice drive, once its warmed up the changes in gear are as smooth as silk!

And "IF" it's anything (engine wise) like the B, think there was a 1.2 and 1.4 auto 8V engine. 1.2 wasn't extremely common though 2bh.

Yeah they are ok, if you like the Corsa. Personally, I'm not overly keen on the new Corsa. But they drive fine, its not that quick though. Take a drive of one first.

that's interesting. Even someone with a 1.7CDTi says the 1.3 is better.

You can. There was one at PVS that either had a remap or tuning box, and was 125ps on standard everything else.
