What can this mean, i thought i had just slept funny but my neck is sore to touch right the way round the front, my glands are up, the back of my neck is dead achy and my head feels dead heavy

Is your neck at all swollen John, just at the back of your jaw bone, below your ears?

Mine was just after Christmas last year - turned out I had mumps, but luckily only a mild case so my balls didn't swell up etc.

From my experience, and definitely my cousins (who told me he couldn't wear boxers while his balls were swollen with mumps, as they physically wouldn't fit ), I'd pop along to see your doctor tomorrow to check it out. If it is mumps, there is nothing they can do apart from painkillers, but its highly contagious so he'll sign you off from work for a week or so.

the front of my neck where my glands are , are raised but behind my ears are ok, im just very achy
