I took mine off after writing the car off. They will also consider cases where the tax or MOT have recently expired.

not really i recently bought "RP08 ERT" for £399 i think just keep in on retention until you can afford one as in 10 years for instance it wont matter as the majority of cars will be younger.

Your have to pay ever 2 years though to renew the certificate, if its not on a car. Right load of shit!
