Im looking at a new car after crashing mine..
i had a 1.4 16v sri apprently...
Just wondering what the difference is between
My old one -> Model: CORSA SRI
The New One -> Model: CORSA SPORT 1.4I
the new 1 is also 16v too

Think that was about the time there was a massive crackdown on SRI, GSI, XR2, XR3 etc etc. So companies changed the names to "Sport" and similar to get round the insurance costs

theres supposed to be about 8bhp difference in them iirc i think the sri was 80bhp and the sport was 88bhp however when i put my 8v against my mates 16v the 8v won it side by side untill 95mph then i pulled away from him (on a private road of course)

Sport has electric windows and mirrors as standard, optional on SRi.
You lose the sunroof though, air con instead. I think your new one is new enough. Spec changed mid 99.

If they're both X14XE then they're both 90bhp manufacturers figures.
8v is 82bhp in the book. There's not much difference on the road.
