Use carrier pigeons as an alternative means of communication.

Contact the company over the phone and ask them politely to remove your phone number. (IE: Dont shout or act like an arse because they'll probably sign you up to loads of services!)

Just explain that it is a work phone and has been passed on to you by someone who left or something...

However sending texts to people who have explicitly specified they don't want them is illegal. If you're receiving a premium rate text messages you just need to reply to the short code number with STOP or STOP ALL.

If this fails you can try getting in touch with your network provider and asking them to stop the messages. If you're still tearing your hair out as a last resort get in touch with ICSTIS who regulate premium rate services and they'll investigate your complaint.

Can I reclaim the charges?

If you believe you never signed up for the service you can attempt to get a refund either from the service provider or your network provider. To do this you will need to find out the details of the service provider who is sending you the texts, which can be done using the number checker on ICSTIS.

Might be of some help.

Try the 'STOP ALL' thing first, instead of sending 'STOP'
