from what i know et30 will stick out of the arch too much.

et49 is standard vaux offset.

Ideally you want to aim for ET43-49 (standard offset is ET49 on corsa b iirc) I think you would have major problems with those!

16's are the best all rounder apparently 17's are said to be too big and handling is shocking 15's are better for performance but not so on the looks!

No no no, J is the width

et is the offset - how far the mounting face of the wheel is from the centre.
As sais Vauxhall use a et49 so best to stick close to that, if you go under it then the wheels will stick out (and fuck your bearings), the further below the et49 they are the further they'll stick out, really going anything lower than et45 and you're possibly going to have problems with rubbing (depending on how much you've lowered it and tyres used) - et30 will be a nightmare and will require some extensive archwork I'd of though, it'll look gay and the bearings will suffer, it'll also tramline like nobodys buisness and be a horror to drive.

ummm don't think so it's just the angle (offset) on how the alloys sits on your car so if you choose an offset which is miles out then you will have bad problems and it just wouldn't be feasible
