i've clayed cars before but never a car which had paint protection on it from the dealer (diamondbrite).

will claying remove the diamondbrite? don't want to remove it as it was a £300 option that i got for nothing but would be good when i sell it on.

No as long as it's a fairly standard off the shelf clay like the Megs one.

Most dealer option paint protection will start to wear off after a year or so of washing and polishing etc though! Can be removed easily with a pre rinse co-polymer removal solution too

Cant understand why anyone would pay for this from a dealer. When i worked for ford we used diamondbrite. Getting it in for each pack cost between £30-50. And is a 20 minute job that most the time never gets done correctly! I know i never did as you just dont have the time in a busy dealer.
I have 50+ packs of diamond brite in my garage, used once or twice each!

But anyway, claying wont remove the diamond brite. And as Rich said it will remove over time.
But the dealer should of gave you a aftercare pack? You should have everything you need in that to top it up. And a sticker in the windscreen with when a inspection is due.

Unless you've not washed your car since you got it claying will be a total waste of time.

yeah i know john. i keep getting loads of tar spots all down the sideskirts and side of the doors though and i can only imagine this getting worse over the winter months.

i can get most of the off using different products but some are too stubborn and i don't want to damage the paintwork.

Get some of that tardis stuff everybody raves about, it'll be a waste of a clay bar and take soo much more effort.
