I would always hold off saying it as long as possible because I knew from past experiance it would only end in tears. However I told my current partner after 4 weeks and we've been together 3 years next week and things have have never been better realationship wise

She said it to me for the first time by text the other night, and also phoned me saying it at daft o'clock in the morning. Shes been away for a week, and comes back on sunday. Sometimes a bit of a break away can work wanders

Ask her if she knows what love is... has she ever loved anyone... ask her how you know when you love someone... and then ask her if she loves you (only if the conversation seems like it's going that way)... then if she says she's not sure.. tell her you feel something but don't know what it is... then leave it at that... then as time goes by you can kinda build up to telling her that way........
if you undersatnad what I mean ha ha

I know... but it's to make conversation, test the water, you're not gonna look a tool for asking those questions... IMO.

After about 4months i think.
She said it back straight away and she said she felt the same.
But like its been said, whenever it feels right.
