just changed from sky, they said was getting 3-4mb dl and 500k upload.

o2 siad i would get 2mb download and 500k upload

but im getting 5.5mb download and 1mb upload

I'm considering moving to O2 after 7 years with BT. They are stating to take the piss with shaping

Not really as far as the broadband side of things. O2 own Be There but are an unbundled LLU. They don't throttle and offer a higher speed.

o2 and BT aren't the same company, BT sold the mobile arm off years ago then it was rebranded o2 because it wasn't making any money.

Just gone O2 myself and cant fault them. Daily texts lettin me no how the connection phase is going and quicker than expected speeds.

BT check said my line could receive up to 4.5Mb/s, actual speed is 5.3Mb/s constant so no throttling either. Very happy.

Was very impressed with how fast o2 got me connected, registered on monday afternoon was connected by friday morning, not had any problems with them so far either, very happy with it £10 a month can't complain

Thought i'd spalsh out on the middle on for an extra £2.50, get £5 off from o2 anyways, so decided it was worth it.

Very good communication though, was with Be before and they were very impressive as well
