Anybody with Lloyds TSB for their insurance on here?

In the policy document thing it says you have to "tell them immediately if you make a change that makes your car more appealing to thieves", and I want to put alloys on, so I was wondering what they'd say about it, in short.

Well depends on their T&C's to be honest as every company is different.

Id say ring them up first and enquire about it so if and what the price change would be and take it from there

Cheers mate, I was going to ring them earlier but didn't have time so I wondered if anyone on here was with them and had asked them about this before.

Here's the link to the policy wording:

https://uk4.u-k-i.com/lloydstsb/Policy_documents/LTSB_motor_policy_wording.pdf

Take a look at page 18, point 8.

quote:
8 Changes which may affect Your cover
You must tell Us as soon as possible if any of the following happens.
You make changes to Your Car which improve its value, performance or attractiveness to thieves;

Do you really have to ask?

They want you to tell them and they'll most likely want to increase the premium, not rocket science.

tbh they will either give you a really stupid price for it or they will turn around and say we can't cover you for these modifications if you add them to you're car

Cheers guys, I'll give them a ring and say I was thinking about it and see what they say.

I did a quote on gocompare.com with and without alloys, and some company's quotes didn't even change, but then again they were different companies to who I'm with.

Like you said, swill_omnibus, it depends on the company
