Nice one guys
I'm going to show him this thread tonight. He does change his mind all the time
I will keep you updated and i'll take some recent pics of the car.
Oh yeah, he's polished the fuel tank. That must add another 10bhp

there no no camparison to a let really as the air is forced in not sucked.
230 probably not possible but big valves, high lift and long duration, ported head, very high rev limit and high compression maybe but then at high revs the 'mass' of air (not volume)might be reduced so much there is no extra power to be had.

never seen a 230 xe that wasn't on solid lifters and at least carbs and he'll need a type c manifold or similar

im i right in thinking he is using standard pistons? if he is planning to use 285 duration cams it will need deeper valve cut outs in the pistons other wise no more stage 3 head, well he will but it will bent valves

can't really compare a let to an xe,as the inlet restriction won't matter as much on a let.but yes the inet can run upto 400bhp and maybe more.if he got bike car/tb's instead of spending so much on the internals he would see better gains.but i'd say 180 on the standard inlet.
