It followed me round the park for a bit a couple of months ago before it's council estate scum owner realised their dog was missing, came over and took him away - he was really really friendly but no-one I've shown the pic to can work out what breeds it is made up of?

Also I like Jack Russells but what are they crossed with when they have short legs?

The markings look like a rottie? Could be a rottie with some terrier?

Cheers for the opinions guys - any idea on the Jack question under the pic?
Also what are some of the places I can contact about housing an abandoned dog?

i think jack russels are a straight breed if they where to have short legs it would be through a defishancy *sp* not the breed, google would be the best bet for adoption centres in your area

I would happily of taken him home - he was so friendly and affectionate, I waited over the park for almost a hour waiting for someone to turn up for him, I then started to walk to the exit as I was going to take him with me and see if he was chipped (unlikely from a council estate scummer) and get in touch with local radio etc, then some dozy bint of a older woman came walking across with a lead in her hand (he had no collar on) she said he must of got out as the postman must of left the garden gate open - so everyone else's fault but hers - she put the handle end of the lead round him, threaded it through the loop and walked off with him - buy him a proper collar and clip the lead on ffs!
I was quite gutted actually
