Cyberpsychology

The psychology behind online gaming, gambling and dating will be key features of the UK’s first cyberpsychology degree at Nottingham Trent University. The MSc in Cyberpsychology, run from the university’s School of Social Sciences, is being launched in response to the growing importance of the role of digital technologies in modern life.

The postgraduate course, which begins in October, will also look at social networking, cybercrime, artificial intelligence and education and health issues. It will aim to develop an understanding of how people respond to and operate within cyberspace, and prove valuable to both employers who use digital technologies, and those who mediate its use.

To be honest, you're going to be faced with a world of morons who are addicted to online gaming, online forums and online gambling ending up with their lives in tatters...

I'd say these people will probably be paid stupid money to sort it out

It's nothing to do with being a psychiatrist

It's about the way people interact with computers/internet and i'm sure there will be a lot of money to be made from exploiting that knowledge.
