Ages ago my boot light decided to fail, cudnt work out why, but wasnt reli bothered about it. Today I decided to find out why it broke. After spending 2 hrs pulling panels off, fault finding with a bit of wire and general poking around, I discovered that the multi plug which connects the wires from the boot into the loom had loads of green/blue powder all on the inside, and the metal pin from the switch had disappeared!!! Fixed problem by cutting wire at bottom of multi-socket plug and re-attaching the wires without going through the plug. Job done. Still cant understand where the metal pin went tho!!!!
