I liked this one on Passionford, nice & standardish/insurable!!

Just putting some feelers out there to see if there is any interest in my Esc Cos ST Lux that i will be more than likely putting up for sale in the next few weeks...and also to ask people opinions on a price?...so at the mo this is not a for sale ad......yet!

I've owned the car for around 6 years and its never let me down(yes cossies can be relaible!!)and has always been looked after and wanted for nothing.

The car has a genuine 57,000 miles with all previous MOTS and a huge file of reciepts.

The car has no rust or dents aand retains all its original panels all spoliers are crack and ripple free!

The car is in Dark Auburgene and has leather interior which has no tears, burns etc...the car has the usual Lux goodies such as air con, elec sunroof and so forth. The car has a top end pioneer head unit with boot changer and acoustic shelf (orignal head units and shelf come with car) the car has a Monte gear knob as well.

The car has subtle mods but nothing tasteless,it has 18inc OZ Super T's that have just been resprayed with Toyo Proxis tyres which 2 are new and the other 2 are hardly worn. Other mods include:Morrettes,355 6pot AP brakes, orig RS500 grilles, koni suspension, eibach springs, poly bushed TCA'S,strut tops, front and rear Anti roll and exhuast(mongoose),vibra technics fast road engine mounts.
The car has a GGR 305 chip and a cossymad spec hybrid turbo(fitted around the 44k mark) and the car has a collins bolt to turbo dumpvalve.
The car had a cambelt and tensioner change at 52,000 along with genuine cam followers and all relevant gaskets, this was because they started to become a tad noisy when cold.
The Air con was regassed as a precaution last year and that still works fine.
The car has recently had new rear calipers as the old ones seized(handbrake) and a new CV boot was replaced due to a split and its just had an oil(mobil one motorsport) and filter change, this has been done every 3,000 (or even less) miles since i've owned teh car and i've only run it on shell optimax and now V power.

I will take some new pics when i get my wheel returned(one was scratched while having its tyre put back on after refurb) and also one side skirt is getting repainted as a flying wheelie bin clipped it during a windy storm and so is off the car at the mo....these things i felt(wanted to)put right before i put it up for sale....i will make sure the kit is painted to a high standard and fitted with the original rivets etc.

The only reason/s i'm selling my car is from lack of use,i've barley done 3,000 in the last 2+ years, when before i was using it daily and its seems a waste of a car...and also where my car is stored,i may have to move from there....so it seems the right time to say goodbye to my beloved cossie.
The car is currently SORN and has some MOT,but it will have a full ticket put on it in the next couple of weeks.

I'm looking for around the 12.5-13k mark, which i feel is very fair for a car with this mileage and condition,i couldnt let it go for any less than that....any opinions on the price(aslong as its constructive)will be warmly welcomed
Like i said i will get some recent pics up ASAP,time is sparse at the mo due to a family illness, but hopefully it will be with'n the next two weeks...I have a few pics to show you now these were taken 3 years ago...before it was lowered,500 grilles, brakes etc...but the car is pretty much the same condition now...but with a new front splitter etc

An Aubergene Lux with 'WRC' wheels isn't exactly a 580bhp Monte with a £6000 gearbox, £2000 front diff, priceless suspension etc, is it?

You might be able to buy that and an M3 for the same money, but you'd be getting one average Escort Cosworth and another car which is about the same amount of averageness.

As for the bottom arms, did you actually read the spec?

Didn't think so.

they are 330cc injectors, 4 on a cossie will be good for 330bhp. so 8 for 580, spot on.

ok... so it isnt 8 x 800cc as per Superlites post

not so bad.

Why go for 8 small rather than 4 large? Just to make it easier to map/run at lower rpm?

i.e no fuel just pouring in through crap spray patterns and big laggy injectors?

I've got for 6x 820cc injectors, but they still have fairly low latency and twin holes... so hopefully they will be ok at idle etc

why the attitude robin ffs end of the day its an escort dont matter if its got diamond headed wheel bolts, why do you make a b-line for my opinions all the time, cant help it it mate if i believe the AVERAGE cossie is better, the more orgional/unspoilt the better to me but i never actually said it was crap mate

a cossie should remain untouched just like some cars should, yes its impressive but for me its devalued now due it being molested

I think that's a fair price, there becoming rarer now, so the value is going up. Subaru Impreza 22b are now worth almost £50k!

Very nice mate! I would love to own 1 but something like that deserves to be locked away in a warm garage on an evening and unfortunately I don't have a garage. A pal of mine has recently bought a Monte in augbergine, think he give 17k for that.
