Phone your insurance company and tell them you wan't driving at the vehicle at the time. Invite them out to inspect your car.

Happened to me when I apparently side swiped a 4x4 in my corsa. Only I had to explain myself to the police Then the insurance!!

He will need to describe you to the police if he has a genuine claim, I think he would have difficulty doing that if hes never met u!

the insurance company have probably misheard their client giving the reg details over the phone, done a MID check and brought your insurance details up by mistake, i'd call up and explain it wasnt you and it should go away.
also if your car isnt damaged ask for an inspector to come round and give a report on it which will say there is no evidence of new parts or recent repairs. job done

Ring your insurers. That's what they are there for!!

If you didn't hit another maintain you didn't. That's what I did.

This happened to my dad. Someone reversed into him at a set of lights and then they all got out saying that he hit the back of them.

They were all called mustafa too. My dad didn't settle (cheaper option) he took them to court. It's still going on. They want to claim for whiplash, bad backs, loss of earnings etc.

The best thing is to ask them to confirm the make and model of the vehicle which is alleged to have collided with their's, and ask for a descipriton of the driver of the responsible vehicle.

Chances are, none of this information will match to you or your vehicle, and you will be able to use this to defend your position.

We get this alot at work (I work in a Claims Department).

you didn't conveniently post on here at the alleged time of incident did you? don't know if that would stand up in court, but might go some way towards an alibi.
