Yeh i had a dispute via paypal quite recently. Basically if you have some form of proof of mailing then Paypal normally side with you on the dispute. With you only posting via 1st class then I doubt you have any signature or tracking for the item so unfortunately they tend to side with the buyer. There are exceptions and at the end of the day it will be the decision of paypal. Any evidence of postage you have would help them side in your favour. It is the general trend for them to side with the buyer unless the seller can provide some proof of postage though.

Takes the piss! I had this years ago and so stopped trading on eBay.
The buyer has disbuted a claim now knowing only too well you will have disposed of the Postage Details.

Yeh completely takes the piss. If its special delivery then they should have to sign for it their end. Try contacting royal mail if you cant find your record of the postage, they may have something on their systems. Its shit the way Paypal decides on claims. I bought 4 x Alton Towers tickets off their not long ago and the seller never even posted them until the day the tickets were valid for. Paypal sided with the guy because his auction never mentioned when they would be delivered for, only that they were tickets and thats what I received. That put me off ever using eBay again.
