its a pre rinse, the foam lifts grit off the paint work then you rinse the foam off with a hose or pressure washer.
You then wash the car with shampoo
Foam guns Start from around £45, then you buy snowfoam, though you can use shampoo in it.
WARNING THOUGH
If you are going to get one be prepared to have trouble with it,
They rairly fit well, some people have to drill the inlet pipe out, they can clog up, the brass pipes rust fairly quick, and ive known some to actually fly of the PW lance during foaming resulting in smashing your car window.
Problem is they have metal fittings and PWs have plastic fittings and due to temperatures expanding ect they dont always fit in the PW gun.
My mate had one and he now uses Karchers own foaming lance, it doesent exactly foam but it sprays a soapy formula onto the car which has the same effect of lifting the grit off the car.
