After 3 months of anticipation and several weekends spent with our heads underneath VWs, we are finally nearly ready to take on the Ring. Took them on a test drive on Sunday to ensure that everything is running ok.

Cars in attendance - Mk1 Golf GTi (full track spec), Mk2 Golf GTi on carbs, Mk5 Golf GTi and our chariot is a Mk2 Golf GTi which houses a 2.0 bottom end with 1.8 head for extra torquey goodness. Its still not quite finished hence not in the road test pics but it'll have to be for next week.

I'll do a report when I get back. The driver of the Mk1 might loose his hearing, he is already forced to wear an iPod and ear defenders Its a proper weapon.

Can't remember the exact name of where we are staying but its pretty close I think.

Got a text from my mate tonight asking what it sounds like when the big end bearings are knackered....oh dear, looks like we'll be swapping an engine this weekend!
