Ive transferred my private plate from my fiat to my new honda and the honda has a square plate on the back. My plate reads J8 YJJ, what i want to know is is it legal for me to have J8 Y on the top row and JJ underneath? or would i get stopped for it, as im not actually mis-spacing the plate

Cheers

rear should be fine but you will need a uk normal sized plate for the front to be legal but as the guy says hes had a 3/4 plate for ages just depends on your area and how the copper feels at the time but anything thats not standard be it font spacing size if its not standard its illegal gay i know

it's illegal, but i honestly think it's got everything to do with the way you drive and what impression the car gives of you.

i've never had any problems in 2 years of 3/4 plates myself.
