I've got a strange scare of heights, where if i say climb up a tall ladder I feel dizzy and unstable. However generally if I'm on a solid platform / well strapped in like a roller coaster I can handle it...
However, I've just booked my Sky Dive for New Zealand
He gave me three options, 9500 feet, 13,500 feet or the 'ultimate' 15,000 feet I went for 15,000
I'm currently thinking it'll be fine, but I can imagine shitting it on the day in the plane going up or dangling out the plane before we go out
I've also got a hot air balloon ride this sat coming up (my mum wanted me to come with her for her b-day present) which could be interesting, since it's just a wicker basket and no engine
But the main one currently concerning me is Bungee Jumps. I really want to do some while I'm travelling, but I honestly think I'll struggle to force myself to jump off the edge. In my mind I'll be thinking 'this is safe, everyone does it etc etc' - but in my legs they'll freeze up... or just be unballanced walking out on the ledge.
Anyone else share my fear and have attempted the above?

Good luck tho buddy if you do take part you need very large balls to be doing that

I have skydived, I'd post a pic but it's embarrassing
Colour jumpsuit, silly hat, silly goggles, and I had braces
Good luck though, it's a fucking rush

i have a curiosity of heights, where i have to stand near the edge of a cliff or whatever because it's exhilerating.
i think a skydive would be fine because your so far away from land with nothing in between to offer any perspective.
with a bungee jump, you can still see ground definition and probably the rest of the bridge or crane below you to make it feel more 'real'.
i'd throw myself off of anything 'providing' i trusted whoever was operating it.

Balloon ride is easy, it's so peaceful that you won't worry.
Not sure quite why you're more worried about 15kft though 9.5 - you need a parachute for both

I'm not afraid of heights but I am afraid of falling... so for example, tv images peering over the edge of skyscrapers give me weak knees but I have no problems with heights otherwise

I think I'm quite like you Paul, a few years ago I had to get on the roof in work, and it was horrible walking up the ladder but once I was up there I was fine could hang over the edge helping put a sign up but on the ladder was terrible
I tried bridgeswinging last year (similar to bungee jumping) and I never thought I'd be able to do anything like that, I'd just gone to watch but the longer I was there the more tempting it was and I ended up going for it.
I've never tried the other two but a parachute jump does sound tempting
I reckon you'll be fine, if you're alright stood on a hard surface, high up you'll be comfortable enough to do it.
With the hot air balloon, just imagine it being like going in a plane, if you're already looking at going jumping out of a plane, I can't see it being too much of a concern
Go for it, you'll only regret it if you dont

I'd rather not like ladder's than paint my parent's house
I'm alright on little ladders, it's the big un's that get me, they have a bit too much 'give' when you get past about 6 steps
