Just had an email from the boss saying about our Xmas party.. what dates and if i need overnight accommodation.. Its gonna be at the FoxHills golf club
went there 2 years ago with them and it is very nice.. got our own houses any everything. was cool 
thought it was a bit early seeing as its still summer but this place needs very early pre booking

If I were prime minister I would ban stuff like this. The shool I was working at had thier christmas party plans publicised in the staff room since June. My friend is trying to get me to make plans for new years eve already. Maybe I'm just grumpy, but I don't really think any of it is that important

Yea my girlfriends Xmas party is at some posh place so they had to book it early. They wanted to know about the same things in June

I totally agree.
I'd also make it illegal for any kind of Christmas advertising to happen before 1st December.

Nothing really. New Years lost it's shine when I became old enough to drink and didn't have to rely on drunk parents.
