If you have a cheque book, you can write yourself a cheque and take it into your bank who will cash it...

Problem I have now is ive got all the way home and I dont have enough petrol to get back into city so got to wait for mum to finish work to borrow her car and bank will now be closed!
Its all messed up

Thats not a problem. If you have photo ID and answer the questions they ask you, there's no reason why they wont let you have the money.

Obviously they might get a bit suspicious if you're wanting to clear out the account of ALL the money in it, but for just a spending spree, it should be fine.

this is worse tbh.

a bloke at work was getting his holiday pay today to cover the 3 weeks shutdown in summer we're off for.

we all got our pay (around £1700-£2000) and he got £300

he had £1000 of bills to pay yesterday and they wouldn't give him the money until next week.

to say he's annoyed is an understatement
