Just wanted to ask if anyone has any ideas what i can do to my 1.2 8v 97 engine , as im not looking to upgrade engine just yet , but would like to know what i can do to enhance performance a bit? Looking more at acceleration than top end.

Turbocharge it. Good engine for that.
Otherwise, nitrous,
otherwise, nothing at all whatsoever will make that engine faster.

Smaller engine, quadruple the performance.

I'll always say that less weight,better stopping power and better handling is as good as an extra 20bhp.

1.4injector,
1.6spi tb,
full exhaust system,
de restrict the airbox,
remap with all the above done.
thats what i started doing (only thing i missed really was the remap and 1.6 tb)
but kurt has done pretty much all of that and it does pull alot better imo.
still nothing amazing and not really a huge increase in power but thats what people have done.

lighten the flywheel will do more difference for acceleration.
