A sunbed cant make you go orange because there is only UV bulbs in the system. So it is generally like being in the sun but closer to the rays etc.
Creams with fake tan etc in them are the parts that make you go orange as its a layer on top of the skin that fills the pores of the epidermis and changes the skin layer to orange pigmentation to give the effect of what people call "tan"

Actually a sunbed gives off two different UV rays, UVA and UVB.
They are at a much higher intensisty than the natural sun, and in different proportions, hence why the VAST MAJORITY of sunbeds give you an orange and un-natural looking tan as opposed to one when sat on holiday.

LOL a natural tan is obviously going to be outside in natural sunlight but a sunbed wont make you go orange unless you use a cream to make you fake tan.
Ive worked in sunbed shops for years so i know how they work etc.
It is lotions and whips that make you orange not the bulbs themselves.
the tan wont be natural brown but it wont be orange either. You look at anyone coming out of my shop ... they aint orange. I dont know what sunbeds you have been on

Look, its not creams and potions and magic, or whatever, its science.
UVB is the harmful type of UV. UVA is the browning type. Sunbeds dont match what the natural sunlight gives off, and thus the varying proportions give you a more orange colour as opposed to getting a natural tan.
