Don't get nervous over it mate, go through it as if it were another lesson, with a different instructor. Sometimes they will try and fail you on stupid things, but if you drive like you have been in your lessons then you'll be fine.

Thats great to hear thanks m8, well my instructor only picks up on minor things like should u be in 3rd? go into 2nd etc.. which really isn't such a big deal. So i think i should be fine i just hope im not one of those unlucky people who they have to fail lol. 10:24 my test time is so pretty good of a time.

A friend of mind gave me this advice. If you can't drive well for one hour, you shouldn't be on the road. Just do as you've been instructed, observe the law, make good progress and be considerate to other road users and you won't go far wrong.

That's great advice, Ian, spot on.
A big part of driving is confidence, if you turn into a nervous wreck in a millisecond then you need to take more lessons.
When I did my test, I went to change gear then realized I didn't want to yet, with my hand already half way towards the gear stick and I didn't get any minors for it or anything, so if that's something your instructor says about then check before you change.

They might not even ask you any questions, but no it will not count against you. Depending on how they feel they may give you a minor mark (say if it was something that's pretty important) but they cannot fail you on it.

relax, greet the instructor (he's only human) and if he's a nice bloke, he'll start chatting to you asking what you do, how old you are, how many brothers/sisters you have etc and it'll make the 40 minute test so much easier.
don't drive nervous, you'll only end up fucking up.

Had my test at 10.24 too. Best time, everyone's in work and the roads aren't so busy. So you have an advantage already.

Exactly, after the school run, but before the lunch rush. Same time I had mine and passed first time.
