I certainly wouldn't watch it if it was an hour filled with daewoo matiz's and ford mondeo's

Just been confirmed they wont be leaving, they didnt ask for the same money as Clarkson, but more money than they we're previously having, which is sorted.

Fresh people would mean fresh humour. I remember enjoying Steve Coogan driving a Ferrari 575 and I'm sure there have been others. Some of the guests - those who aren't there to promote a book - do appear to have an interest in cars as well. Surely this is the only prerequisite in the current format. May has in the past discussed technical things in the vintage cars episode before being told to shut up. So if that is not what is required, so be it. I would happily watch him in other series. The Big Wine Adventure was good TV.

Not sure where Hammond would end up. Good Morning probably. Suit me, I'm never at home during the day.

So true

P.s. I also hate Fifth Gear... They've tried to copy Top Gear but failed miserably...

I just think Top Gear should go back a few series.

The chatshow is where they get celebrities like cricketers and rugby players and try to get them to go fast around a track with them / do off roading etc. They usually talk bollocks about what they've been up to etc, yet the celeb really couldn't give a fuck about cars and is usually completely useless.

5th Gear went seriously downhill when they brought on tim lovejoy.

Apart from the repetitive element, the only thing really wrong with Top Gear, in fact (apart from vickybutlerhenderson) the only thing that has ever been REALLY wrong with Top Gear is jeremy clarkson.

He should stick to collecting his fat cheque for writing meandering pointless articles in various publications and Top Gear should be returned to what it originally was with perhaps the inclusion of some of the more modern and humorous stuff.

You wouldnt have a top gear as it is today in its hugely popular form without JC.

But I think you'd find it would be no better than your standard shitty car programme - alla 5th Gear.

True, but at least it wouldn't have jeremy clarkson in it.

Incidentally, I neglected to remember that the other two things that were bad for the show were tiffany dell and that twat from used car roadshow.

Top Gear was always a fine institution. I loved it in the days of William Woolard, Chris Goffey and Tony Mason. clarkson should have been ousted after his first stint. He's been allowed to grow like a cancer.

If it entertains me, which it does hugely, I don't care who hosts it.
