I would do as most people said.

Sell it, and get something faster if you like when you get back, a year older = cheeper insurance etc etc

If youre not bothered about it loosing money, have somewhere to keep it, and dont need money for traveling then sell it!

I'll struggle to get much quicker when I get back due to insurance, might even get a tdi

Someone coming down with cash on weds to have a look so it might be gone sooner than id like

Yeah, just dont sell it for the sake of it, if you get offered the right price, take it. (common sense probably)
