Topic idea from another forum
Who do you consider to be a modern day hero and why?
I'll start.
Colin McRae
1991 and 1992 British Rally Champion, then in 1995 World rally Champion. Fair play! Then he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire
RIP
Lance Armstrong
He may be a yank, but respect. He gets testicular cancer, total bummer, has horrible chemotherapy, trains like a badger and wins the Tour de France 7 years in a row He was so physically fit they said his heart was 30% larger than normal peoples.

Don't really have a modern day hero but i could agree 100% with Lance Armstrong, that guy defines determination.
My all time hero still is and always will be Superman, i'm a massive fan not just because its a superhero movie/comic but because of the things it portrays, most people won't understand as it requires alot of reading into the history and reason to why Superman was created.
