Im going to paint my rocker cover over the weekend. Anyone got any advice on how to do it best?

As you can see it needs doing bad

take off
clean
sand a bit with 800 grit
metal primer
colour
clear coat

job done

If im spraying it satin black, do i still laquer

Also do i use a different paint due to the heat?

Off topid, Dean how did you get your carbon plug cover to sit level mine wont?

na no need to use high temp paint i dont think. well i didnt. my plug cover just went straight on, need to cut one of the bolts down tho

Just 1 quicj question

Witch bolts is it that removes the rocker cover?

Dont want to do the wrong bolts!

i would of assumed it was the 4/6 bolts in each cover.

Yer just those torque shaped bolts (in blue in my pic) I used a high temp paint from the motor factors that didnt need laqure or primer. Came out nice although normal halfords paint will be fine.

If you have an after market inlet manifold removal is alot easier



(excuse the gaffa tape it was a temp measure )


Drives supercharged Tec with torque
