Think i may be starting to suffer from this. Pretty much shift work, my diet and sleeping pattern causing it.
Symtoms for me are blured vision and slight head ache. Flashing lights with a banging head ache or a general banging head ache. Sometimes i can't think of what i want to explain too - rephased myself from speaking to customers today as i just couldn't think..
Worth visiting the doctor? Or does anyone else take some sort of medication when it starts.

Get them quite often, starts off as a sharp pain behind the eye and goes from there. I just take Neurofen and try and concentrate on something e.g. reading. or go to sleep.

General fatigue by the sounds, putting a strain on your brain so to speak, you overload a computer and it slows down.

Go to a DOCTOR!
Unless you think this is normal then dont fanny around asking CS's opinion and just call and arrange to see a doctor which by the looks of it you do and i'm no doctor.

In the boy's defence it's 10.15pm he's probably just looking for fellow sufferers as opposed to professional opinions. I doubt a GP will see him now! and A&E will laugh him away.

I don't know if it is normal, that's why i'm asking on here
Don't wanna be taking time off to see a doctor if it's a waste of time.
Had my eyes tested so it's nothing to do with that.

It’s not a sympathy thread either, i'm just seeing if anyone else suffers from it and what they use to help prevent it from happening or a temp solution.

That's what I'd do, just ring up when your surgery opens, me personally put my health first before anything even if I had to be at work and it was really important.

I used to suffer badly from them. Got 4 in a week once.
Not to pleasant particularly when they're serious. I used to be blinded, pain used to cripple me, and go to bed with the room as dark as I could get it. Was on Daily tablets (Pitzofen iirc) and still got them.
Had my eyes tested and injected with something once too. That wasn't too pleasant All to find out why I got them. Chocolate was one of the triggers, They couldn't find out the others.
Docs for you if you think you're suffering from them. Touchwood, I've grown out of them now. Haven't had one for a long time. But i'm sure they'l return.
