Am in college doing plumbing, worth having the qualification for sure, always money in these kind of trades. Theres always a friend of a friend who needs something done.

As for the courses in the paper, not sure if anybody I know has used so can't say if they are worth it, by what Jay said they aren't going to be too great:O

IMO, there not really worth it. The best qualification is getting out on the sites and learning that way. The best plasterer i know was taught by someone on site, and didnt go to college

they are for the people who think they can have ago, you need to do a proper apprentership to make it or do as Jake has done got a nvq2 in you'r trade and get in with a skilled bloke who can teach you new ways to do your trade and teach you tricks. College taught me very little the blokes on site taught me how to do my trade in a good but efficiant way.
