I'm going to Samoens for the 3rd time on Jan 22nd

Been to La Plagne, Meribel in France and also Pamporovo in Bulgaria in the past.

Out of all the places i've been, La Plagne has been the best resort for the snow and length of the runs. But the best over all holiday was last year in Samoens due to the friendly resort and also the people i was with.

I picked it up after 3 days of falling on my ass every 20 seconds. All you need is a basic grasp of balance and ALOT of patience.

If (when) you fall over, get straight back up on your board, laugh about it and don’t think about it, otherwise you'll get mad with yourself and it'll make it 10 times harder.

Get your self down to your nearest indoor ski/boarding place if you can. I didn’t, and regretted it.

It helps of the people you’re going with are at the same or similar level as you also.

I went to Les Menuires last year which is central to Les Trois Vallee; my sister should be working in Mirabelle (*sp) this season so I'll probably go there a couple of times
