Ok im selling my car today, this is the first time ive sold one so just need to double check a few things.
All I do is fill in section 6 of V5 with buyers details? then send it off to DVLA
Also fill in section 10 the new keepers part and give that to him??
Is that all?
Also on the new keepers details whats the driver number?
And is it best to get us both to sign a 'sold as seen'?

From memory, the new keeper section goes to the new keeper, the rest of the V5 goes to the DVLA.
Driver number is written at the top of the counterpart driving licence.
Mine is in the format "KENT9 (6 digits) (5 letters and numbers)"
Yes, get them to sign something. Brief description of the car. Both sign the same bit of paper. Both date it. Both print your names.

Yea thats right, and the driver number isnt needed but its the number on the driving licence, and yea always better to sign somthing saying it was sold as seen etc and get yous both to sign it
