WHats the point in buying budget tyres unless its a 1.2??
They are the only thing between your car and the road.
toyo's are shite, they wear out soooo fast its expensive.

Ive used Nankangs on my old Cavvy gsi turbo and V6 mk3 astra without any problems atal.Very under-ratted tyre IMHO.

Ive currently got veristien (sp) on my gsi alloys. Very good tyre in my opionion. So much better then the P6000 perielis I had before. So I know the difference just tyres can make which is why I am thinking carefully about this choice.
So proxies appear to be losing favor.
Down to rainsports or F1 GSD's then

If you want awesome Dry grip only, Yoko Parada 100%! Love them. But as has already been mentioned, they don't like water. For an all rounder its got to be Goodyear Eagle F1's!

i have to disagree, you buy good tyres you get good grip, you buy shit tyres and you step out of line , iv just been out with a focus 1.6 zetec, he couldnt quite leave me in the corners and hes lowerd with 15's too, all down the the quality tyres imo

i had the rainsports on my corsa, probably the best tyres i had on it in 7 years of owning it. Eagle F1s are also excellent but ive never tried them personally.
