Hi All,
My Car's got it's first MOT due tomorrow, just checking through guidelines and am not fully sure on a couple of bits:
The car:

I've dewipered the rear window, but the washer jet remains - Because this works and pumps water out, does it then need to be wiped off? Ie. Do I need to stick the rear wiper back on for MOT?
Rear tinted fogs are still brighter than brake lights, but am buying reflectors to stick on as they no longer reflect,
Number plates should be ok - they're perfectly legible but just motorbike font opposed to car font,
HID's I'm going to risk - they're level and I've never been flashed so am hoping I'll be ok?
LED sidelights will be binned in favour of normal ones...
Finally, seatbelts all work and are in vgc, but the passenger one doesn't height adjust as it should - is this tested for?
Anything else?!
I expect these are extremely numpty noobie questions, but it's worth asking.
Cheers
Rich

Rear wiper, washer jet isnt part of the mot.
Aslong as the fog lights work, its all they check really.
Hids some pass them some fail them.aslong as the beam pattern is ok thats all they care about.
Seatbelts dont need to adjust aslong as its usuable and no frays or cuts in the belt.

Awesome - Just what I wanted to hear!
Cheers
Mechanically I've not really done anything apart from springs and backbox which won't have done bugger all, al joints etc should be ok and no rust yet lol, so should be ok!
It's just the HIDs I'm risking, but want to pass with them in so that I know it's all legal

I cant see your plates being an issue unless the tester dislikes you !

All the things you have listed will be fine mate. Only thing maybe the beam pattern but if they are level it should be pretty much correct. Also i think the only thing that matters for number plates is spacing and that its legible so should be fine.

Rear wiper not part of mot
Rear tinted fogs are still brighter than brake lights, but am buying reflectors to stick on as they no longer reflect,
Should be fine if your puttin reflectors on
Number plates should be ok - they're perfectly legible but just motorbike font opposed to car font,
Do they have the british standards stamp on them? If not then they will fail, depending on what kinda tester you get, some will let it go
HID's I'm going to risk - they're level and I've never been flashed so am hoping I'll be ok?
As long as the beam pattern is fine cant see why they would fail, again all depends on the tester
LED sidelights will be binned in favour of normal ones...
Prob a good idea putting the standard ones on just incase
Finally, seatbelts all work and are in vgc, but the passenger one doesn't height adjust as it should - is this tested for?
Aslong as its im full working order and retracts fine, and has no rips, frays etc will be fine hight ajustment doesnt matter

B3KAN - Cheers Mate.
Had a nightmare trying to find any reflectors today - could only find orange and white
Will have to go hunting again tomorrow.
Will also have to change plates too, as only the front one has the BS mark on it (I requested them not to be put on there - like an idiot!!)

i was going to say depends on the garage for the number plates, my works mot tester will fail you for the number plates due to it not having the stamps on them

Just because it will pass an MOT doesnt mean it legal.
