What does the TA involve?

Is it a full time thing? Do you do so many days a year?

And is your employer legally entitled to let you have the time off with it being armed forces?

X amount of days per year, not sure where you stand with your employer. Hes currently got loads of free driving licences (HGV, PGV ,etc etc) for free and lots of other stuff.

Try working with them and knowing what your talking about, then you will know what im talking about. Training for 3 days a month is nowhere near enough to be a good soldier, would you want someone with 4 weeks basic training watching your back and firing live rounds 6 metres behind you? Just because there in Iraq doesnt mean they do much, they rarely go into dangerous zones or get into contacts. Remember there just reservists at the end of the day.

3 of them were from the 23 SAS (TA regiment)

You can't really blame the training for them getting killed.

lol 23rd SAS reserves is hardly the fucking same as a normal signals base miles from anywhere is it?

I work with a lot of people in the TA and many of them have been to iraq several times and some have fought in bosnia and other conflicts.. anyone who calls them weekend warriors etc should try being one to be honest..

and wilson mate if you knew what you were talking about you would know they dont do 4 weeks of training and then get posted to iraq... as said theres about a years worth of courses and training first and even then you need to apply and be selected to serve.
