elo people, i had my last lesson about a month ago and after that lesson he told me i was ready but i hadn't done my theory! Well i passed my theory on the 6th and i have just got paid so i have now booked my test for the 17th, i called my instructor and he told me i need a few more lessons! I said ok and i won't need many tho would i? He goes no i dont know but i tell you one thing i dont want you to go into the test not ready and failing because it makes me look bad? And if i don't think your ready i wont let you use my car! But the tone he said that in made me pretty mad! Because i feel as if i'm ready and i been told i just think he may want more money off me as i hadn't had many lessons with him as i got tought by my dad! But what shall i do because i have £45 in my pocket untill next pay day which is the 19th! But i spoke to my mum and she said i can lend £100. The lessons are £17 each! I will do as many lessons as poss but i have to take away 2x 17 for an hour before the test and the hour i borrow his car. I have untill the 12th to cancell my booking and get a full refund! But i dont want to do that as it's a month's waiting list. What do you think i should do? I'm pretty pissed as he told me a month ago i was ready just brush up on mirrior work now his saying different? You think i should find another instructor with the same car and explain my situation? Or buy that car i'm learning in and take the test in my own car? I do have a corsa b atm but it's modified and i dont want them to look at the car and me and fail me before i leave the test centre lol..
Thanks for your time ready guys but i do need some help! And sorry for the lecture!

Are you not the guy that was really really cocky about being able to pass it and your instructor is also saying you aren't ready?

Nope thats not me he said to me on my last lesson.. "I do think your ready but your theory is holding u back get that out the way and come back to me. You also need to brush up on your mirrior work but apart from that nothing is really stopping you" I dont understand i mite of caught him in a bad mood when i called him but when im in the car when he is teaching me he doesnt really tell me what to do? All he does is sit there while i drive unless he tells me to do a 3 point turn etc...

go to a female instructor, they are a lot nicer than the male ones plus best drivers pass second time round mate so don't worry about it... You'll be shitin yourself when you have the test... If you fail just think of it as experience, and go for it again... You will be calm as a cucumber next time round

he sounds like a rubish instructor, when i was learning he would pick up on everything good/bad and lots of advise, have you even got a tick sheet showing if you are progressing throughout the lessons ? i say get another instructor and explain like someone has already said, if they are good and think your ready they will probobly tell you book straight in for test... although you should take test in your car they shouldnt be prejudice tbf aslong as its all sound..

yeah i was learning in a corsa c, then that broke down so he had another car for afew weeks (cant remember what) then he got a mini, then as soon as i past my test i jumped in my bfs 2.2 astra the same night to go to fish shop i must say that was a bit scary as it was the first time i had drove his car and the first time i had been in a car on my own
