I am wanting to do some angled cuts on a mitre saw, they will be internal and external corners at 90deg. the skirting is 15mm x 119mm, just wondering if this compound mitre saw will do these angled cuts ok?
Spec:
Blade size 210 x 30mm
Maximum cutting depth
0x90deg 55-120mm
45x90deg 55-85mm
90x90deg 35x85mm
cuts bevel cuts, mitre cuts and compound mitre cuts

any mitre saw will do a mitre cut
just set it to 45deg and do each half at a time.

If not then do as above. I had a nightmare doing rails on a wall. I always thought it was a 45 degree cut but when the walls are not level or square the 45 degree cut was out by a fair bit.
What is the joiners equivalent of say a protractor? Something you use to measure the angle of cut before you make it?.

you could go half way with the outside up, then flip it around to go in from the other edge. i think
If the corners aren't exact, yo're supposed to draw the profile of the skirt onto the other piece and cut it with a coping saw. then you can but the two together without needing to mitre. takes a little longer, but looks a whole lot better.
