Most people told me not to buy a Escort TDi, I did anyway, I sold it after two weeks, some times "most people" have a point... although I dont mind the mk3 Golf VR6s

yup TDi, the torque is fun, stick my foot down in any gear and it goes! peak torque comes in at about 1900rpm!!

I have the same car but the saloon model (Vento). Good motors and practical.
Great first car, build up your no claims and then get something more sportier if you want

it was up for 995 so i got 6months tax and some fuel in for 995 
150k on clock, belts been done every 60k, serivced every 10k/year, full MOT, needs a service, body work isn't mint though

Yup first car, passed my test week ago last thursday. Also the other thing is the men in blue should see me differently not just some 17 year old boy racer in a tin can, I might even get roof bars to re-enforce that
Its reaaaaaaaaly comfy too, full electrics with a 8 speaker stereo

Mod wise a plan to do clear idicators/repeaters, debadged grill, debadge rear, black the rear vw badge, maybe lower it and maybe some different wheels

I think its an AHU engine, there the same block as current VAG 1.9's the newer ones have a different fueling system though
