Flicked through google and a few forums reckon they are the same.

1 or 2 reckon all 16v sumps are the same?

LMF list an X14XE one but no mention of C16

dont think they are no, c16 has a steel sump like the 8v's and x's have an alloy sump iirrc

All the same but the C16XE had a few more internal baffles than a Z16XE from a vectra

It's not Help Zone until I need to get it off

So steel or alloy? I did think alloy on inspection? Might whip it off and check the part number.

the tin sump on my 1.5 td rusted and started seaping. ended up fitted a twin section, half alloy, half tin one off a 1.7td. think vaux quoted over £100 and said he sells one most months.
