The bluebottle... it's currently on my window sill and appears to have been dying since about 5.30pm. It's on its back and may just be stuck but makes some feeble kind of buzz every few minutes.
Should I finish it off?

Even better, get a can of compressed air....turn the can upside down and let the liquid ice drip onto the fly....it will freeze it.

Spray the fucker with Deoderant. then after you have disposed of the corpse. Clean your window sill, as theres a good chance its been on a piece of shit throughout the course of the day.

should of sprayed it with hair spray (if you have any) aparently if you do it to wasps while they are flying then they just drop to the floor

I tried this a couple of weeks ago when a wasp dared to enter my bedroom, it had some kind of hairspray immunity, and I was spraying it with firm hold

I have used the hair spray thing before it's a bit hit and miss. Proper wasp spray works fine every time
