I wouldn't buy a brand new car either, partially because of the cost, but mostly because get one a year old for cheaper, but there's one thing about cars with 4 miles on the clock:

New car smell

only reason i got a focus st brand new was because of the privilege ticket i get (2.5k off list price being an employee) and because the facelift only came out when 08 plates did

i guess so, will still lose money, but thats all part of owning a new car really

i'd love an impreza (childhood dream car) but as said, can't get insured on one.

My uncle has offered me one of them privilege tickets for £500, which would leave me with what £2k off a new car? I have been tempted by a Focus, but my heart wants an Astra Twintop.

He wont I called him that an all. I couldnt get an ST though, although I love them I couldnt justify it. Ive seen an Astra TT for £12k thats tempting me, I dont even like converts, too posey, I just like the shape of it.

Its either get myself a decent car that I will want to keep or keep my Vectra and get a motorbike too, swaying more towards a decent car though

Loving the Focus STs. Think I'd probably have one over the Astra VXR.

Guy I've been photographing for currently has a lovely blue ST with white stripes and has already put his name down for the new Focus RS.

Oh, and he races a Fiesta ST too..........his local Ford garage must've seen him coming
