Once i start my full time job il be looking at doing some engine mods to my corsa.

I'll be looking at all sorts but might have the chance for my old 1.2 back so the spec may end up on my 1.4 or put a 1.6 in my old car and do the same mods.

Novatech tb's
264 cams
janspeed 4-2-1
cat-back peco system
Aftermarket management

Cant think of anything else as of yet but what power would i be looking on a X14/16XE engine's?

Thanks

Yeah, 1.6.

Get a lightened flywheel and get the bottom end lightened and balanced.

You'll need a new inlet as well to achieve 150+ I'd imagine?

nah, you will get 150bhp on a level inlet on the TB's You will see better gains with a 30 degree inlet though, Ask Dave A about them.

1600 CC

The price of getting the engines and fitting will be about the same. So if it's down to the insurance, save up.

In the end, if you mod the 1.4, you'll always be wishing do modded the 1.6.

It is just the make of them, From what iv been told they are very good tb's but are more for track use than road use, might be wrong though.

Thats what im thinking. Just purely because i have the 1.4 now and would have to find a decent 1.6.

They were designed and built by Novatech in Slough, untill somebody pinched their design and started saying they were theirs(no names will be mentioned). So their not made any more. They were really well made and good to look at too.

Generally no different to regular tb's.
