I once booked an Ibis room in Northampton to be told on arrival it was for two and our third person couldn't stay. They also didn't have any spare rooms. Not the best news after driving down there.

We eventually got a room at the Hilton which was also a twin but actually had facility to sleep more and was cheaper than two rooms anywhere else. They also had a bar and a piano, great place. I used them a number of times after that.

Travelodge on Broad Street in Birmingham actually has bouncers on, not the nice American style concierge type who take your bags, but the objectionable shoulder-chipped hard man lucky lucky upgrade who won't even let you in to book another room because you turned up with too many people.

Not sure on Marriott policy.

I've stayed in the one in Brum im sure..

And we had 9 in 2 family rooms..

they had 2 big black bouncer who were slightly intimidating to say the least, but we got in ok

No wonder the marriots the most expensive in swansea.

If you go to oystemouth road you can get a twin room for £40 a night

Theres no bouncers or security as such inthe swansea one just a guy at reception.

Just 2 people book in. Then leave and pop out for a bit. They aint gonna know a few hours later who is in what room etc. Plus they probably change shifts before 4am lol
